IT’S SO NICE TO MEET YOU!

Hi! My name is Jessie Liao and I am a hair stylist based in Calgary, Alberta. I have been passionately in love with hair styling for as long as I can remember, and have been professionally crafting hair for 10 years at Hedkandi Salon! When I am not behind the chair, I stay inspired with weddings, continual education and collaborations. When I am not doing all those things, you will find me roaming around the city with a cup of latte, my dog and the newest addition to my life, my sweet daughter, Juniper!

So, where do I begin with my love for upstyling? It's been one of my greatest passions since childhood! I have always been fascinated with the way hair can be used to translate a style, an expression, and personality. Although I have always played with hair for family and friends, it was not until my very first bridal gig as a stylist that put me in my element. 

To me, bridal styling is becoming a part of a romantic experience. Each couple, their love stories fuels my soul, and creativity. (I am obviously a hopeless romantic.) My bridal style is romantic, airy and modern yet timeless. Each bride I connect with, I am inspired and dedicated to meet their standards, and create a vision that reflects their personal style for their happily-ever-after. To see each joyful bride and the sparkle in their eyes is why I love doing what I do, and to be able to a part of these beautiful moments over and over is so incredible in words that I cannot describe! 

I am truly grateful for those who I have had the opportunity to connect with already, and every lovely person that has made this all possible!
